We had dinner at Cannibale Royale, and it was an excellent choice after a day of exploring Amsterdam. We made reservations for 6:15 p.m., and after a short walk from our hotel, we were promptly seated. The restaurant has a lively, casual atmosphere with friendly service that made us feel welcome right away. My husband ordered the Royale Burger topped with pulled pork and sauerkraut, served with a side of crispy French fries. I chose the Classic Burger paired with the watermelon, feta, and mint salad. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. While the burgers were the stars of the meal, my salad was a pleasant surprise—light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to a hearty burger. The combination of sweet watermelon, salty feta, and fresh mint was especially enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great burger in Amsterdam, Cannibale Royale is definitely worth a visit. Between the quality of the food, prompt service, and convenient location, it’s an easy restaurant to recommend. 🍔🍟

Apparently dolls can be found throughout this restaurant, but we only saw a few. The espressotini hit the spot and everyone was happy with their meals. The L’Incroyables were cooked to perfection. The service was good and the atmosphere was cozy. Our waiter had some great food recommendations. We were treated to a traditional shot at the end that was potent! Definitely a great place to have dinner when in Amsterdam!

An inviting restaurant in the centre of Rotterdam, with delectable dishes and home-brewed beer. The meals were overall good, but I’d like to highlight the chicken with rosemary and lemon – super flavoursome! My mom and I shared a big portion and enjoyed it a lot. Next, the spare ribs weren’t anything special, but quite good. The steak, however, was tasty, but it was not what we asked for; we wanted medium rare, but it was rather medium to raw. When it comes to beverages, the home-brewed beer definitely elevated the experience; it paired very well with our dishes (they even suggest a flavour based on the meal choice!). Overall we had a good night, kind and attentive staff, as well as a pleasant atmosphere.

Great experience dining at Cannibale! I have been to two other locations and decided to try this one that is now closer to me. Always great, super friendly staff as well! Such a shame I had too much steak and could not eat the brownie, one of the best!! 😅🤩

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the short ribs—they were the best short ribs I’ve had in Amsterdam! They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I would also like to give a special mention to Jana for her outstanding service. She was friendly, cheerful, and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Her warm smile and positive attitude were one of the main reasons I left the restaurant so satisfied. Thank you, Jana, for making our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Good food, although the price for meat could be expensive. We cam here several time. The must order is the steak tartar which is one the the best I have ever tried. Burgers and ribs also very tasty. Though the price for the beef shank is expensive, we paid 30€ for only one small shank (see it picture) which was surprisingly small for the price. Dessert is also quite nice, would recommend the brownie. Service is friendly and fast.

We crossed this meat specialist restaurant during our visit and chose it following our appetite. And that was for the best. The staff was dynamic and welcoming ( despite we stop in front of it 10min before the opening ) We really enjoy the meal even if the cooking for my friend burger wasn't asked this is a litlle detail but here it was perfect. I liked the glazed ribs I had and all the sides as well. There is great selection of wine. I'm definitely recommending this place for meat lovers.

Staff and service were excellent. Food was OK, nachos were badly dressed with huge "lump" of cheese on top and dry chips under it. Deep fried cauliflower was interesting flavour. Not bad. Place had a good evening vibe low lit cosy and nice background beats.

Really enjoyed this place. It’s tucked away in a small alley and I probably wouldn’t have found it without Google Maps, but it was surprisingly busy when we got there. I had the burger and it was genuinely really good. The beer was great too, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the evening. Nice atmosphere, good food, and overall just a very solid spot that I’d happily visit again.

There were four of us at dinner: we ordered two pork chops, a hamburger, and a sirloin steak. The portions were huge and packed with flavor. We also ordered two sides of french fries; we finished them only because we hated to waste food, but we were absolutely stuffed! Top-quality ingredients and delicious flavor combinations. Although the prices might seem high at first, I can assure you they are definitely worth it. The staff was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable, even recommending the best dishes to us. Needless to say, if we get the chance, we’ll certainly be back!

Incredible short rib, the best I had for so long. Amazing sweet potato fries, you are going to order one more trust me. Staff is quite nice, the service is a bit slow though. We have waited 15-20 min for our food. İnterior is loud but not too much and well designed. Overall amazing food, kind and helpful staff, slow service, good place. Highly recommended.

Was looking for a Beer Pub but found something way more interesting 😅 I even wasn’t hungry, but after that smell of their craft burgers i was very week not to try them. Very pleasant restaurant and I think very ok prices. A little bit noisy for me but it was ok.

We visited this restaurant today for dinner and ordered garlic bread, sweet potato fries, grilled vegetables, and three different cuts of meat. We also had two desserts at the end a brownie and a cheesecake. The food was delicious and everything was well cooked. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff seemed completely indifferent to the customers, and every time we asked for something, we felt like we were bothering them. It really affected the overall experience.

Yesterday me and my boyfriend wanted to find something that is good Quality and not so touristic ! What a Juwel!!! We were treated Like Locals, the beautiful woman with red hair in the Service was always so professionell and lovely. Even my extra wishes were no Problem. Food 100% Quality 100% prices TOP!!! There was a misunderstanding with my dish, so the super cool manager checked on me personal and the cook personally gave me my dish again. The Crew is so passionate and full of effort, best Burger place in town. Give them a huge tip when you are there, not often that you see such a crew in a touristic city with THIS Food Quality!! Even before closing they were super chill and nice. Thank you guys! We are so happy and don’t Need to go anywhere else!

Overall, we had a nice evening. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I also liked the music selection, with hip-hop classics like Common and Tupac playing in the background. The food was good, but not perfect. The ribeye was slightly overcooked for my taste, and the chimichurri could have used a bit more acidity to make it fresher and more balanced. The broccoli was unfortunately quite dry. The only real downside was that we were seated in the back section of the restaurant, where the air felt very stuffy and uncomfortable after a while. All in all, a nice place with good service and a cool vibe, but the food and ventilation could be improved.

Had a very nice flat iron steak. Great cut of beef. Cooked perfectly. Nice chimichurri. Excellently cooked fries. Can’t fault the place. It has a good vibe, cool industrial feel. Great atmosphere and was busy on a Monday night.

Quieter than the other outlet in the main walking street area. Large interior seating area so while a little crowded, there wasn’t much of an issue finding a table on a Sunday evening. Staff are really friendly and attentive. The beef short rib is really good and not served at other BBQ restaurants in the city. Well worth traveling here for a visit.

Had a nice dinner here on a Friday evening. We made a reservation prior, which was a good call because it was quite busy. The service was good, once we ordered we didn't need to wait very long for the drinks and food. Everything we got was good but nothing exceptional. The Cannibale Royale's Favourite Ribs were tender but the flavor wasn't anything special. They were a bit more on the salty side and I wouldn't really describe them to be with a sweet and sticky glaze. I also got the Mashed Potatoes as a side and was quite disappointed with them. I expected rich and creamy, but they were more of the industrial/typical restaurant tasting kind. For €7 I really expected better. The L'Incroyable (Ribeye 300g) was perfect. It was perfectly cooked and tender. The only comment is that it does not come pre-salted, but once you sprinkle it with a little salt it is fantastic. Lastly, I really enjoyed their Lychee Royale cocktail. It wasn't too strong and it was very refreshing. Overall, a good dinner. The food is good, but I would probably stick to the steaks next time. I'm a committed carnivore, so a restaurant named Cannibale Royale had me before I even opened the menu. I found it browsing Yelp, and the name alone told me this was going to be a meat-forward kind of night. Fair warning if you're bringing anyone squeamish about restaurant names: The wife wasn't thrilled about it going in, though the food won her over fast. Getting there was its own small adventure. The place sits down a narrow alley, and our Uber couldn't get us all the way to it, which turned into a bit of a hike. That happened to us more than once in Amsterdam, using the exact address didn't always mean the driver could actually reach the door, so budget a few extra minutes if you're headed here. I normally default to steak, but the menu had a burger topped with pulled pork that promised more meat than a straight cut, and I couldn't pass it up. Delicious. Genuinely one of the best burgers I've had. But the wife's flat iron steak might have stolen the night. Flat iron is one of the most underrated cuts out there, and this kitchen proved it. She was still talking about that steak days after we got home, enough that I ended up buying flat irons from Costco just to chase it. The atmosphere is cool and a little edgy, dim lighting, a lot of character, and yes, some genuinely creepy decor scattered around, including an old doll that stares at you like it's judging your order. It ran loud, but not so loud we couldn't hold a conversation across the table. Service was good, just on European time rather than American time. Getting the check took a while, which threw us off at first, but that's the norm across the EU, not a knock on this place specifically. Pricey, but worth every bit of it. We'd go back without hesitation next time we're in Amsterdam.

Today, I visited this establishment while on the hunt for a quality steakhouse, and I must say, I found it quite easily. Amidst the surrounding hustle and bustle, the clean and well-kept entrance immediately stood out. Behind it lies a rustic, welcoming steakhouse with a dark, moody aesthetic that creates a truly fantastic atmosphere. The food itself was very enjoyable—the sauces are an absolute must-have. Everything was prepared to my full satisfaction. There might be some room for adjustment regarding the desserts, but otherwise, you definitely get your money's worth here. The place is really nice and cozy. I came a bit late and the kitchen was still open. I ordered one of the steaks and I ended up doing something wrong when ordered and the waiter Daniel was very helpful and offered me a new dish as he could see that I did something wrong bc of the English. He fixed the issue and make the whole experience even better! I highly recommend this place!

Super delicious! Recommend ribeye 10/10 and beef spare rib 10000/10, so tender, it just melts in your mouth without chewing. Bread with butter is to die for as well, crunchy and salted outside and soft inside, the butter on the side is marinated with kruiden to this perfect taste and paired so well with the bread. I love it so much! What kind of bread is it?
